Karen’s Kids Preschool follows the Brentwood Union School District calendar almost exactly with noted exceptions. School is in session from August through May with approximately 74 days per year for the 3 year old program and approximately 101 days for the 4 year old program. Everyone is provided with a detailed calendar upon enrollment. You are also informed with a monthly newsletter.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday Classes (for 4-5 year olds)

8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Tuesday/Thursday Classes (for 3 year olds)

8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Fees:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday Classes: $260.00 per month, per session

Tuesday/Thursday Classes: $190 per month, per session

There is a non-refundable one time per enrollment fee of $50.00 which will secure your child’s place in preschool. Classes fill up on a first come, first served basis. I keep a waiting list after classes fill up. There is no fee to be on the waiting list, the enrollment fee will be collected upon enrollment.

The “usual” practice is for a child to be enrolled in the 3 year old class first, then “graduate” to the 4-5 year old class. (However, your child can be enrolled at any time if there are openings) This gets the child gradually ready for kindergarten. The second half of the second year has a strong emphasis on Kindergarten preparedness. I have an ongoing relationship with some of the kindergarten teachers in our area which allows me to keep up with what is expected as the children enter kindergarten.
