Karen’s Kids Preschool has been serving families and children in Brentwood at the same location since 1987. Many satisfied families have enjoyed being part of Karen’s Kids.

The goal of Karen’s Kids Preschool is to provide an environment in which children can learn to love to learn. The learning environment includes science, math, literature, storytelling, dramatic play, puppetry, art, reading, writing, music, outdoor environments, and circle time. I want the children to develop a knowledgeable, confident self-identity, have pleasant interactions with other children, and develop critical thinking skills. I provide ongoing developmentally appropriate activities.

When children learn to love learning, it will follow them their entire academic career.

When children are properly cared for and nurtured they will grow and become productive members of society. At Karen’s Kids, your children will grow and thrive. They will not only learn “academics”, but form lasting friendships.

About Karen

I have been a resident of Brentwood for over 20 years. I have raised my family here.

I have worked with the families and children of Brentwood since 1987 and I continue to take classes and keep up with the latest in child development and education as a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC), the Professional Development Program, and First Five.

I have received the Award of Distinction in Early Care and Education from First Five, the Child Care Council, and The Learning Institute.

I worked very hard with the Early Learning Demonstration Project and First Five to achieve national accreditation which I received in August of 2005. I also received a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of “achieving and sustaining program quality in the field of early care and education” from First Five, the Child Care Council and The Learning Institute.

I am committed to getting children ready to enter kindergarten with a love for school and learning.
